Royal Pavilion Holdings was established in 1984 as an investment partnership with three partners to acquire distressed commercial real estate. Our initial focus was on retail shopping centers, office buildings and multi family residential assets. We have expanded our investment focus into the hospitality sector. The company was initially capitalized with a $150 million allocation from its founding partners. Over the past 30 plus years, we have grown into a multi-billion dollar commercial real estate investment firm, management company and property landlord to numerous Fortune 500 customers.
Currently we invest and lease high quality properties including class A office buildings, retail shopping centers with big-box anchor tenants, large-scale multi family residential housing, and major "flagged" hotels in the U.S. in partnership with our strategic investment partners. We partner with institutional investors who are seeking long term, stable investments to co-invest equity capital in our commercial real estate portfolios.
Royal Pavilion Holdings acquires off-market portfolios of commercial real estate assets which are priced below replacement cost in key markets with high barriers of entry along with a strong customer base. We make value added improvements to yield maximum returns on investment for our investor partners. We hold our properties between 5 and 10 years to achieve maximum returns. We are pleased to announce that our hotels are flagged by internationally recognized hotel brands including Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn and Marriott International.
